Ingredients for Pudding:
3 tbsp. Cornstarch
1 cup Semi-Sweet
2 cups Milk Chocolate Chips
cup Granulated Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar
and cornstarch. Add the chocolate chips. Slowly stir
in the milk. Cook the mixture over medium heat and
stir constantly until the pudding is thick and smooth
(about 6 minutes). Remove from heat. Stir in the
vanilla. Set pudding aside to cool then divide equally
into four dishes. Cover with aluminum foil or plastic
wrap and refrigerate until chilled (about 1 hour).
Ingredients for Whipped Cream:
½ cup Whipping Cream, chilled
1 tsp. Confectioner's Sugar
Put cream in a small mixing bowl. Add sugar. Using
a mixer, breath the cream until it becomes thick and
forms soft peaks. Do not over beat! At serving time,
remove pudding from refrigerator and add cream.
News for Kids
Having a kid's news channel can help kids be
wise citizens in the future. Kids nowadays are very
aware of what goes on in the world. They are
interested in issues like government, environment,
education, nutrition and entertainment. Adult news
is often too violent or inappropriate for kids.
Parents may not want their children to watch
because it may make them sad or scared. So, I am
suggesting a special kids news program which can
be seen on ABC News or other news channel.
It would be very simple. Kid reporters from
different parts of the country could give a summary
of the news in a language kids can understand. The
reporters can make changes to the adult news
before they present it to the audience by replacing
difficult vocabulary. The news can be prepared and
presented during school hours. Kids could also
watch the news during school as part of their
language or social studies classes.
